Choose the perfect tank for you.
Diving tanks allow you to stay under water. Of course, the diving time depends not only on the capacity of the cylinder, but also on air consumption and the depth of the dive. The cylinders contain compressed, dried and filtered gas that allows you to breathe underwater. Most often it is air, sometimes divers use nitrox and technical divers use trimix. There are cylinders of various capacities. The most popular capacities that can be found in the DIVERS SHOP. include 12 and 15l diving cylinders. It is the cylinders of this capacity that are the most popular among recreational divers. It is worth remembering that as a beginner diver you will use more air than your advanced buddy. Over time, we gain practice in breathing underwater.
Steel or aluminum tanks? If you want to buy your own diving cylinder, you should take into account not only its capacity, but also the material from which it was made. Aluminum dive cylinders have greater displacement and are intended mainly as side cylinders for decompression gases or sidemount dives. For dives with a single cylinder or a two-cylinder set, steel cylinders, which have negative buoyancy and are often lighter than aluminum cylinders, will be the best.
Diving cylinder valves and other accessoriesWhen purchasing the scuba diving cylinders, you will also need to purchase valves and other accessories such as clamps, harnesses, mounts, and more. They allow the cylinder to be properly installed so that it stays stable throughout the entire dive. The cylinder valve, in turn, is used to control the flow of gas. There are DIN valves that are found in our part of the world and are increasingly used also in other parts of the world. The second type of valves are INT type, which can be fitted with a breathing valve, using the so-called yoke system.
